Political Week! House of Cards- Season 1, Episode 3- Mikasa Antique White

House of Cards  | Season 1, Episode 3

Cunning. Deviant. Ruthless. Three adjectives to describe the power couple that is Frank and Claire Underwood. As Democratic Majority Whip in the House of Representatives, Frank Underwood, (played by the show stopping Kevin Spacey) will stop at nothing to maintain his maniacal reign and continue to rise in the twisted world of American politics. Frank’s poised, sophisticated, and cut throat wife, Claire, (played by the brilliant Robin Wright) is equally as intense, breaking all confines of humanity to help her husband gain immeasurable power. The two are equally fierce, dangerous, and brutal, applying various techniques to manipulate all who surround them.

In this particular episode, Frank is attending to political affairs in his home state of South Carolina as Claire stays home to keep the kingdom running. Throughout the episode we notice crisp, unassuming, classy dinnerware mirroring the personality of their keepers. In this scene, a pair of Mikasa Antique White sugar bowl and creamer are seated on the counter in the Underwood’s D.C. home.
