As the family celebrates Helen’s birthday, Paul tells Mary Jane that he wishes that Helen would ‘just gone on and die’ and goes on to say ‘I just wish you would know that kind of love one day.’ And it is that love, that real, true love that Mary Jane seeks. She doesn’t have it with married Andre, nor the difficult to pin down David. As Mary Jane goes back in to deal with her brother, we can see more of the Metlox Poppytrail Della Robbia pattern in the kitchen.
