For the Food Network’s show, White House Thanksgiving, Trisha Yearwood is invited to prepare Thanksgiving dinner with First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and White House Executive Chef, Cristeta Comerford.
We saved this recipe for Thanksgiving day in case you are having a gravy panic moment. If your gravy doesn’t turn out, you can resort to Dr. Biden’s gravy recipe – which begins and ends with a jar from the store.
Trisha Yearwood’s recipe is a bit more nuanced. Start with a basic roux, add pan drippings and stock, and finish with some chopped cooked turkey. The gravy is served in a lovely Godinger Dublin gravy boat.
Try the recipe out for yourself this Thanksgiving.
