Similar to the quirky, abstract, and colorful personalities of each Friends character are the dishes they choose for their respective kitchens. In Monica’s kitchen, hiding in the vibrant, blue cupboards above the kitchen sink, is the classic Vitromaster Time Piece pattern.

Vitromaster Time Piece cups, plates, and bowls are visible beginning in Season 1 Episode 2 of Friends. Pieces can be seen in the background during almost every kitchen scene. However, it isn’t until  Thanksgiving dinner goes up in smoke that we can identify the pattern. In this iconic episode, the Underdog Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade balloon gets loose, and the gang heads up to the roof to check it out. No one grabs the keys, and Thanksgiving dinner is burned. As the smoke begins to clear, we get a closer shot of the cups, which feature a bright blue with gold pocket watches and black Roman numerals.
