King of Queens-Season 3, Episode 8- Homer Laughlin Fiesta Fiestaware Apricot Round Covered Vegetable Dish

King of Queens  | Season 3, Episode 8

In this classic flashback episode, Carrie and Doug recall the first day they said I love you – Thanksgiving Day. In the flashback, Carrie is talking about her boyfriend Doug to her father and his then wife, Lily – played by the incomparable Florence Henderson, (if you are going to have a sitcom mom, isn’t Florence Henderson the one all of us would want?)

While Arthur makes disparaging remarks about Doug’s job prospects, Lily asks if Doug has said ‘I love you’ yet. Carrie says that Doug isn’t really the ‘I love you’ type, and Lily offers some interesting advice. We have all heard the adage ‘why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?’; well, Lily’s advice is slightly different, ‘if you want to make a sale, you have to let them sample the merchandise!’

Throughout the conversation, a fabulous Fiesta Apricot covered vegetable dish can be seen on the retro kitchen counter.
